Sarah Bonoma, Co-Founder of Dancing Sands Gin.

Sarah and her husband Ben set up Dancing Sands Distillery in 2016. Despite no prior experience of the spirits industry the duo have created New Zealand’s most awarded Distillery, with their innovative gins found in outlets across New Zealand and around the world. Dancing Sands Distillery is located in Takaka in Golden Bay at the top of NZ’s South Island, home to the world’s clearest spring – Te Waikoropupu Springs and Dancing Sands Spring.

The vision for the business was always clear - to make more interesting spirits that use great quality ingredients, incorporating an adventurous approach to their craft. In November 2020 they launched a Sauvignon Blanc Gin, a world first using vacuum distilled Sauvignon Blanc wine which sold over a year’s supply in 4 weeks. “We think of ourselves as perfectors of taste - quality is at the forefront of everything we do. We’re on a mission to create the perfect bottle of gin using what we like to drink as our north star and crafting flavours that take people on a journey of adventure and discovery”

Car parking:

Located out the front of the building. It is a UC controlled carpark that is pay and display between the hours of 8am and 5pm. There is one pay station.
