Our guest speakers Claudia Grave and Todd Foster are the Co-Founders of Hitch. Young entrepreneurs, Claudia and Todd are on a mission to drive commuting-related carbon emissions towards zero through their business, Hitch. Hitch gives other businesses the tools to measure, report and reduce commuting related emissions. Hitch's clients include some of Aotearoa's biggest brands such as The Co-Operatve Bank and Sharesies. Hitch has been featured on RNZ's CheckPoint, Stuff, The New Zealand Herald, The Dom Post and has won multiple awards for their mahi.

Claudia and Todd will share about their journey both with Hitch and as entrepreneurs. They will also talk about the innovation they are seeing in this space and the impact they are having with Hitch.

About Claudia

Impact driven entrepreneurship is in Claudia's DNA, and with Hitch she is doing exactly that.

Prior to Hitch, Claudia's career highlights included working on the COVID-19 border programme, supporting NZ's second largest business transformation, and managing a subsidiary of a global education company aiming to completely disrupt the way people access education.

Claudia also recently launched a project raising funds for the people in Ukraine. Thrift for Good is an online thrift store, where people can donate clothing. Thrift for Good sells these and 100% of the profits go towards the Red Cross's efforts in Ukraine.

About Todd

Todd is passionate about people, business, and building a sustainable future through innovation.

Todd has been a problem solver since he can remember - always frustrated by the status quo and searching for ways to think different. He began his professional career with PwC Consulting, where he worked with organisations across the private and public sector to design teams and build effective people strategies.

His journey into entrepreneurship was a natural progression - and a focus on sustainability was always going to be a priority. Motivated and frustrated by inaction, Todd is inspired to do his bit and make an impact for generations to come.

Andrew Newman - Media Professional

Andrew is a business driven, Media Professional.

Starting his first business at the age of 15, Andrew then turned his attention to broadcasting - Graduating his media studies as a New Zealand Radio Awards finalist.

Since then Andrew has had his own Network Breakfast Show, hosted Global Simulcasts, and has been Stadium Announcer for the likes of Wellington Rugby and Wellington Phoenix - In addition to MCing countless private events.
