Project Description

A celebration of Mt Maunganui lifestyle in Muricata Avenue. Our design is truly a refined result of meticulous and innovative design, masterful craftsmanship and an absolute refusal to compromise on quality, this house is more than a home - it's a work of art. Designed for our celebrity chef client, the sophisticated modern cedar exterior and dark accents create an alluring street appeal which invites you to explore further. Anchored by a concrete tilt panel spine wall you are led into this expansive yet intimate home. A pared-back palette, precise attention to detail, custom-made organic fixtures and cleverly contrasting natural mediums enhance the home's warm and light aesthetic. Concrete feature walls polished to a smooth sheen make an unexpected yet stunning offset against cedar walls and oak cabinetry. Each bespoke feature has a story to tell; imported Turkish wall tiles, aged brass fittings, porcelain benches and hand-blown glass light fittings, to name just a few. With all social spaces on the ground floor, movement is open and flows from street entry out to a large protected outdoor room at the rear of the property. Natural light floods the stair void. The openness is echoed by the crisp white open tread stair the led home occupants to the upper level dedicated to retreat sleep spaces. The chefs kitchen is the heart of the home with high quality appliances and oversized butler's pantry. A bespoke double-sided concrete cast fireplace and level change is a subtle delineation that divides the living areas.
