There is something very satisfying about a thing that is well made and well designed. I set out with LTD Architectural in 2009 looking to raise the standard of design in our local built environment. Since then I have had the chance to work in some incredible locations to create buildings that reflect the character of the people who live in them and place in which they live.
My approach is to design with sensitivity to the physical and cultural context of the site, using natural materials and finishes where possible with a focus on robust but elegant detailing.
I now have 20 years of experience in the construction industry, working initially as a qualified carpenter before completing a bachelor of architecture. Since then I have worked on high end commercial and residential projects with leading practices in the UK and NZ.
My interest now lies in designing for our stunning NZ rural and coastal environment and meeting the challenges of affordability that face New Zealanders who want to build with a passion for good design.
