Pete Wynyard has been in the design industry for 30 plus years and leads the team @ Archimetrix. Pete is one of the very few Licensed Building Practitioners who holds a Design 3 license in the Canterbury region.
A Design 3 license is issued only to those individuals who demonstrate competencies that reflect the required skills and knowledge to design buildings over 10meters or greater in height.
He has contributed to residential, retail, school, community, office and hospitality projects throughout New Zealand.
Pete has surrounded himself with a team of talented, enthusiastic and technically adept people who bring amazing expertise to all aspects of design. Archimetrix enjoys working with clients who share their vision and commitment to the ways in which well-considered design can make an enormous difference to living, learning and working environments.

Pete has designed 3 properties for us; one renovation and two new builds. In every instance we have found him to provide fresh approaches to architectural design that allowed us to work with both site and budget restrictions.
He has shown us that good ideas are about balance and proportion and not necessarily making every room oversized. Ultimately we felt that Pete and the team incorporated our lifestyle and what we needed from a home with the idiosyncrasies of each site. The fact that he is also a nice guy and part of a friendly and efficient team is a bonus.
Pete was approachable and explained his reasons for materials, colours etc. If more information/explanation was required to assist CCC, builders or us; he was happy to go the extra mile. I think that Pete is a 'real' designer with clear and innovative ideas but without pretension.
I would happily recommend him and use his services again.
