In this alteration for a couple and their daughter the brief was simple: making the minimum change possible to the existing old cottage while gaining better use of the spaces and collect as much sun as possible whilst keeping the spectacular views of Tomahawk & Smaill beach to the south whilst protecting it from the southerly winds. We maintained most of the original footprint, re-layout entirely & added a new angled lounge capturing the West Sunset, a new open plan kitchen with views to the beach.
